All content on this site (text, photographs, drawings, logo, source code, graphic charter) is the exclusive property of Maison Aurélia inc. or used with permission. Any reproduction, representation, modification or distribution, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization, constitutes counterfeiting punishable under Sections 27 et seq. of the Copyright Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42).
5. Terms of sale
5.1 Scope
These terms of sale (T&Cs) govern sales made on this site between Maison Aurélia inc. and any adult natural person or legal entity making a purchase. They are deemed accepted without reservation by the customer at the time of order validation.
5.2 Products
The jewelry presented is handcrafted in our Montréal workshop. Given this artisanal character, slight finish variations between two identical pieces are possible and constitute the unique character of each piece. Visuals are as accurate as possible but may present slight color differences depending on the screen used.
5.3 Prices
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD), before tax. Applicable taxes (GST 5% + QST 9.975%) are calculated at checkout based on the shipping address. Prices may change; only the price in effect at the time of order validation binds Maison Aurélia.
5.4 Order
The order becomes firm and final after receipt of full payment. A confirmation is sent by email. Maison Aurélia reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order presenting an abnormal character (volume, suspected fraud, previous dispute).
5.5 Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe Inc. (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). Maison Aurélia never stores credit card numbers. Accepted methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal.
5.6 Shipping
- Preparation time: 2 to 4 business days after payment received
- Carriers: Canada Post (Xpresspost), Purolator
- Signature and insurance: required on all deliveries, included in fee
- Canada shipping: $18 — free over $250
- US shipping: $35 — customs duties and taxes payable by customer
- No international shipping outside Canada / USA at this time
5.7 Returns and right of withdrawal
In accordance with the Quebec Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c. P-40.1), you have 30 days from receipt to request a return. Pieces must be:
- Unworn, in original condition
- In their marquetry wooden case
- Accompanied by the certificate of authenticity
Exceptions: personalized pieces (engraving, custom sizing, bespoke) and gemstones mounted on order are neither returned nor exchanged.
Return shipping is paid by Maison Aurélia (prepaid label provided). Refunds are issued within 14 days of receipt and inspection.
5.8 Warranty
All our jewelry comes with a lifetime warranty on 18K gold and settings against manufacturing defects (soldering, clasp, prongs). Excluded: accidental impacts, normal wear, stone loss from impact. Polishing is offered every 12 months in store. Resizing is free during the first year.
5.9 Retention of title
Maison Aurélia retains full ownership of delivered jewelry until full payment of the price.
6. Liability
Maison Aurélia cannot be held liable for indirect, intangible or consequential damages resulting from the use of jewelry (undeclared skin allergy, loss, theft). Liability is limited in all cases to the order price.
7. Force majeure
Maison Aurélia's obligations are suspended in cases of force majeure: natural disaster, general strike, pandemic, armed conflict, embargo. The customer is informed as soon as possible.
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These T&Cs are governed by Quebec law and applicable Canadian federal laws. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Montréal Judicial District.
Consumers may also use the free mediation service of the Office de la protection du consommateur du Québec.
9. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, compliant with Quebec Law 25.
